Nondual Teachers Perspective on Decisions—David Hoffmeister

Enjoy the following excerpt taken from a transcribed talk by David Hoffmeister for Nondual Teachers.

It’s sort of funny some cultures we celebrate birth and we, the self is grieving death. Then you can find some other cultures, such as in New Orleans, where they actually dance and party whenever someone dies. There are actually some cultures in which they grieve whenever there’s a newborn. You see exactly how reversed? It’s all relative. We cannot say it’s all this way since it’s much ado about nothing.

As long as we begin to take the form badly, like divorce, 1 man was saying to me oh my wife, my daughter, my children, are all upset about this divorce that is coming about. He said “what do you think, what do you consider this divorce?” I said “yeah it is a decision and I honor all choices” When someone tells me they’re getting divorced I’m like oh okay, or when someone tells me they are getting married, okay, or when somebody tells
Me I am likely to commit suicide or test out, okay.
Nondual Teachers have to start to realize everything is mind and everything is a decision and who are we to tell anybody anything really? Who are we to give advice or make a pronouncement if they say I’m getting a divorce?

I had been called down to South America a few years ago and that I had been encouraged to return and then all of the sudden I started getting telephone messages, don’t come, it is dreadful, my husband went off with another woman and we are talking divorce now. It was a complete tour that the Holy Spirit had been having me down in Argentina and this affair thing, they believed the Holy Spirit was just like oh stop the entire tour, potential divorce proceeding on here. I said no,no, I bought the tickets.

So I go down and the husband that was off with another woman and the wife, they both picked me up at precisely the exact same car. Her name was Maria Christina Uare, Mary Christ you are. His name was Alberto but she
Adored him so much she just called him that the King. The King found another woman. But I’d always understood him so that I go down, they pick up me, and I move Maria, oh Maria, oh King.

How can Jesus interact with them? Do you believe Jesus goes I heard you had an affair? No way. I was only adoring, loving, adoring, loving, even if the kids would return to me and go David you don’t understand, and he’s still living in the home, oh, oh, oh. I said these are conclusions, we have to honor and respect decisions. Everything is decisions but it is only when we have the filter of conclusion where we come in and go awe that is a
Terrible decision. We’re here in order to forgive and to love, period. And so me there was quite transformation for everybody involved. It simply gave everyone permission to let each of their emotions come up and face their emotions and confront their decisions. And I kept ringing the bell of innocence, recall we’re
Innocent, everyone is innocent. If a person is guilty guess what that means for your remainder?
